Fifteen faculty from the Department of Aerospace Engineering were honored at the 15th Annual Research Leaders Luncheon held by the University of Maryland Division of Research in the Colony Ballroom on November 14th, 2013.

The following aerospace engineering faculty were recognized:

  • Alison Flatau
  • William Fourney
  • Sean Humbert
  • Anya Jones
  • Gordon Leishman
  • Andre Marshall (Joint appointment)
  • Derek Paley
  • Raymond Sedwick
  • Norman Wereley
  • Kenneth Yu

The annual luncheon is held to recognize faculty who bring in top research dollars to the university. Hosted by the Division of Research, the event highlights university faculty who bring in at least $500,000 in research money in a single fiscal year. This year, over 50% of the full-time faculty from the Aerospace Department were recognized at this event.
