Dr. James Hubbard, Jr., Langley Distinguished Professor of the Department of Aerospace Engineering, has published a new book entitled Spatial Filtering for the Control of Smart Structures. This book develops and details rigorous design methodologies and performance measures for the control of modern Smart Structures.

Dr. Hubbard is the director of the Morpheus Laboratory at the National Institute of Aerospace in Hampton, Virginia. Professor Hubbard has more than 60 technical publications, 12 U.S. patents, and has served on numerous technical Boards and Committees.
