AE Leads College to Top 10 Ranking

The Aerospace Engineering Department was recently ranked 8th overall among US universities, and 5th among publics for its outstanding and first rate graduate research programs.

The Aerospace Engineering Department was recently ranked 8th overall among

US universities, and 5th among publics for its outstanding and first rate graduate research programs. The department moved up 3 spots from 11th last year. This improvement in the ranking is strongly supported by the fact that the department has won four major large research grants:

• NASA Constellation University Institute Project
  

• Army CTA Center on "Microsystems Mechanics"
  

• AFOSR MURI on "Rotorcraft Brownout"
  

• NASA Institute for Dextrous Robotics

outstanding faculty and graduate students"
