Outreach - April 16, 2008
Morpheus Lab had a wonderful time hosting all 42 students in the 5th grade class from GLH Johnson Elementary in Danville, VA.
The visiting students were greeted by Dr. Hubbard and given an ornithopter demonstration at NIA before visiting NASA LaRC and the Virginia Air and Space Center. The trip was made possible through the gracious funding provided by the Aerospace Engineering Department at the University of Maryland, College Park.

Trinity was very well received! |
At NASA we made friends… |
as the experienced scientists and
engineers showed the kids what fun work can be. |
Lunch in the NASA cafeteria was great! Above: Lunch with Geoff |
and Lunch with Sandra |
And over at the Air and Space Museum, where the Future met with the past, |
we saw that these kids all have a bright future ahead of them. |
Some found the experience electrifying. |
Others simply enjoyed exploring new ideas in the company of friends. |
In the end, I think we all agreed that the day was inspiring! |
Thank you to all the children and adults from GLH Johnson Elementary and Danville Virginia for brightening our day! |
